The Santa Ana Friends For The Animals (SAFA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, which was formed to partner with the City of Santa Ana to address animal issues within the City. SAFA will be working in concert with Santa Ana Police Animal Services.
Vision
Our Vision is to make Santa Ana a safe caring environment for people and animals where no animal suffers due to neglect or ignorance. A City where every pet is assured a good home throughout it's natural life.
Mission
Our mission is to promote and protect the health, safety and welfare of children and animals in the City of Santa Ana. This will be accomplished by providing services to the public:
- Spay/neuter programs
- Pet identification (increased licensing/microchip)
- Public education
- Improved shelter services
- Adoption events
SAFA will be participating in fund raising in order to provide the above listed services to the public for free or at a reduced rate. The various types of fund raising include request for grants and donations from organizations, businesses and the public. In addition, SAFA participates at special events throughout the year. These events will provide the opportunity for fund raising as well as a platform for public education.
